Brampton Man charged for first degree murder in homicide investigation

29th May 2022 – Homicide investigation team of Peel Regional Police has charged a man accused in a Brampton homicide.

Police received emergency call on 1st March 2022 at 2:30 P.M. for shots being fired in the area of Cresthaven Road and Torada Court in Brampton. Police found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds and succumbed to his injuries on the crime scene.

The victim was identified as Jahleel McKoy, a 19-year-old from Brampton.

The homicide investigation team arrested and charged a 20-year-old Brampton man named Tylan Singh on 26th May 2022 with one count of First Degree Murder in relation to the aforesaid crime.

The accused appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on the same day.
