Two Brampton Teens arrested for attempted murder investigation; another man at large

26th June 2022 – Peel Regional Police has arrested two teens and issued a warrant for another man after a shooting that took place in Brampton last Monday.

On 20th June, in the late hours of the evening, the police was called after reports of gun fire were heard in the area of Sandalwood Parkway and Chinguacousy Road in Brampton. Once the police arrived, they found a 20-year-old man suffering from the gunshot wound. He was later transported to a trauma centre and is being reported to be in a stable condition.

Police identified three suspects involved in the incident.

Alexander Maharaj, 18-year-old, Brampton, is charged with the following offences:

  • Accessory After the Fact to Commit an Indictable Offence
  • Attempted Murder Using Firearm

RithushanKumarathasan, 19-year-old, Brampton, is charged with the following offence:

  • Accessory After the Fact to Commit an Indictable Offence

Peel Police has issued a warrant to arrest HarnoorThind, a 20-year-old man from Brampton.

Harnoor Thind is encouraged to speak with legal counsel, and make arrangements to surrender himself to police.
