BC Teacher charged with multiple counts of sexual exploitation

11th May 2023 – The Provincial Court of British Columbia has charged a 40-year-old man, Bhupinder Singh Sonu, with six counts of sexual interference and exploitation of a person under 16.

The accused was an employee at a Khalsa School in Fraser Valley in Langley, BC.

According to a report published in City News, the alleged offences took place between September 2022 and February 2023.

The report further stated that the accused is no longer employed at the school and faces severe punishment if found guilty. As the accused acquired his Permanent Residency a couple of years back, he may be deported as well.

The accused has been released on strict bail conditions and is set to appear in court on 30th May.
