Several arrested by Peel Police in Kidnapping Investigation

20th May 2023 – Peel Regional Police’s investigation team has arrested and charged several individuals in a kidnapping investigation.

On 15th February 2023 at about 9:30 PM, it is alleged that two victims in their early 20s were kept in a Brampton residence against will, kidnapped and later released.

On 18th May 2023, three search warrants were executed at two residences in Brampton and one in Georgetown. During the investigation, several suspects have been arrested. The items recovered in the investigation include:

  1. 9mm compact handgun
  2. Ammunition
  3. Vehicles
  4. Property related to these offences

Below suspects have been charged.

Danish Thakur – 24, Brampton

  • Kidnapping
  • Robbery
  • Possession of firearm
  • Possession of prohibited firearm
  • Discharging a firearm
  • Assault with weapon

Daljeet Singh, 28, Brampton

  • Kidnapping
  • Robbery

Harmanpreet Singh, 22, Brampton

  • Kidnapping
  • Robbery

Snowerpreet Khehra, 25, Georgetown

  • Kidnapping
  • Robbery
  • Possession of prohibited firearm

Komalpreet Singh, 22, Saheyad Kang, 21, Arundeep Singh, 24 and Maninderjit Singh, 26 are all residents of Georgetown and they have charged with one count of Possession of firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized.
