Brampton man charged for running police cruiser off the roadway

16th December 2022 – Peel Regional Police has arrested and charged a Brampton man, Gauravdeep Singh, after intentionally running a police cruiser off the roadway.

On July 30, 2021 at around 1:30 a.m. the culprit was found driving a stolen vehicle in the area of Hurontario Street and County Court Boulevard (which is minutes away from Sheridan College plaza in the City of Brampton). It is alleged that he, later, hit deliberately a police cruiser causing it to leave the roadway and managed to escape.

On 29th November 2022, the 22-year-old was arrested and charged on 12 counts:

  • Motor Vehicle Theft
  • Dangerous Operation (x 2)
  • Flight from police officer
  • Possession of Stolen Property (x 7)
  • Fail to remain

The accused appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on 30th November 2022.
