30th August 2023 – Toronto Police has charged one in a sexual assault investigation.
It is alleged that:
- between March 2023 and August 2023, two separate women responded to online job postings
- the women attended an office space located on the sixth floor at 1 Concorde Gate and met with a man who represented himself as a business owner looking for employees
- during the interviews, the man would ask the victims to perform breathing exercises and instruct them how to meditate
- the man subsequently sexually assaulted the victims during these interviews
On Wednesday, August 30, 2023, Ajay Gupta, 55, of Toronto was arrested. He is charged with:
- two counts of Sexual Assault
Police are concerned there may be other victims.

A sexual assault is any form of unwanted sexual contact. It includes, but is not limited to, kissing, grabbing, oral sex and penetration.
