Peel Regional Police gives back to the community in unique Bicycle Drive

5th July 2021 – It came as a pleasant surprise for some bike lovers in Brampton last week when Peel Regional Police donated over 100 renovated bikes to ‘eager cyclists.

Love Brampton Bicycle Clinic is a collaborative drive between Peel Regional Police Divisional Mobilization Unit, Love Brampton, Bramalea Baptist Church, and Heart Lake Baptist Church. Members from these institutions spent time during spring in reaching out internally to collect used bicycles for this program.

The goal of the program is to provide residents access to transportation where there would otherwise be a barrier for them. On 26th June 2021, 118 residents of the community received these refurbished bikes. The drive is a testimony of Peel Police’s compassion and generosity towards the community. It shows the zeal with which the community could come together and give back in most unique ways. https://www.peelpolice.ca/Modules/News/index.aspx?newsId=997bb0df-5873-4ea1-bb88-8803b4f12986
