Peel Police makes public appeal in Music and Sporting Ticket Event Fraud

15th November 2024 – Peel Regional Police issued an arrest warrant for Jaspal Singh Thiara in a Music and Sporting Ticket Event Fraud investigation.

Police reported that from February to October 2024, a comprehensive investigation was conducted after a series of fraud reports were received which alleged that a suspect has fraudulently sold concert and sporting event tickets disguising as being from legitimate and reputable ticket sale companies.

It is estimated that the victims have been duped of over $38,000.

37-year old Thiara from Toronto has been charged with:

  • Fraud over $5,000
  • Fail to comply

The accused is already on a Judicial release for similar charges. Investigators believe that there could be more victims.
