Two Brampton men charged with sexual assault in historical investigation

29th October 2024 – Peel Police has made progress in a historical sexual assault investigation. The Special Victims Unit has charged two men from Brampton in the case.

A 59-year-old man named Gursharan Singh Sidhu was arrested on 23rd September 2024 and was charged  with:

  • Gang sexual assault
  • Sexual assault
  • Attempt to commit an Indictable Offence

A 56-year-old man named  Inderpal Athwal, owner of the Homeopathic clinic, was also arrested on 22nd October 2024 and was charged with:

  • Gang sexual assault
  • Attempt Gang sexual assault

Between 2020 and 2021, the accused worked together in a homeopathic clinic located at Orenda Road and Kennedy Road in Brampton. It is alleged that during this time, the duo assaulted sexually two female patients on multiple occasions.

Police believes that there could be additional victims or witnesses and is asking anyone with information related to this case to contact the Special Victims Unit at 905.453.2121 x 3460.
