Mississauga Mayor appreciates the Vaccine pop-up clinic at Hindu Heritage Center

14th June 2021 – The COVID-19 mobile vaccination clinic at Hindu Heritage Center in Mississauga ran at full capacity during the past weekend. The mobile clinic was set-up with the assistance from the local authorities at the temple premises and had the region’s Red Cross to run it. Over 600 people got vaccinated in two days at this clinic. Most of the people who came in received their first dose of Pfizer vaccination for COVID-19.

For running the clinic efficiently, the temple authorities were supported by a well-knit group of volunteers from the Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (HSS). Over 80 volunteers helped in running the show smoothly for two days. The Red Cross team was highly appreciative of the way the camp was run. The staff was provided with food and water by the volunteers.

Mississauga Mayor Ms. Bonnie Crombie also visited the facility on Sunday and spoke to many residents and staff at the facility. Later during the day, she tweeted as below.
