HSS conducts successful tree plantation drive; plants 150 trees

24th October 2021 – Volunteers of Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (HSS), Canada participated in a tree-plantation drive along with Credit Valley Conservation Area team on 17th October, Sunday.

A group of 18 volunteers, which included young kids as well, from the community organization participated in this drive in the Hillside Park in Mississauga planted 150 trees. The event lasted for about 3 hours on Sunday morning.

The Canada chapter of HSS has been serving the community through many of its programs for many years now. As per their website, their volunteers have worked in keeping the city clean and green.

 

 

 

 

 

During Rakshabandhan, they reach out to various police departments, thank them for their services and build positive relations with the police force.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In another event, Guru Vandana, they ask kids to invite their teachers and be their guest where teachers are thanked for their services. At the same time, children carry with them the Hindu legacy of Guru-Shishya Parampara (teacher-student tradition). HSS Canada can be contacted at – https://www.hsscanada.org/
