Brampton Uber driver charged with sexual assault during ride

4th November 2022 – In a press release, Toronto Police Services has confirmed that they have charged, Harpreet Brar, 24-years-old who is a resident of the City of Brampton in a sexual assault investigation.

Police has alleged that on 30th October 2022, a woman ordered an Uber ride through the mobile application. During the ride, she fell asleep and she was sexually assaulted by the driver.

Harpreet was arrested by Toronto Police on the same day and has been charged with:

  • Sexual Assault

Police investigators suspect that there could be more victims.
