Brampton man arrested in Retail Robbery investigation

27th January 2025 – Investigators of Peel Regional Police has arrested a Brampton man in a retail robbery investigation. The police identified two suspects in relation to a robbery that took place at a gas station. The second accused is at large at the moment.

On Friday, Jan. 17, 2025, it is alleged that two male suspects robbed a gas station in the area of Hurontario Street and Bovaird Drive West in Brampton. During this incident, the suspects displayed an imitation firearm, made a demand for cash, and managed to flee the area with a quantity of money. The victim did not suffer any physical injuries.

Police responded promptly to the emergency situation and was able to grab, Jagtar Singh, 30-year-old from Brampton. He has been charged with:

  • Robbery;
  • Wear disguise with intent;
  • Use imitation firearm

The other suspect, Taranjot Singh, 30-year-old with no fixed address has been charged with:

  • Robbery;
  • Wear disguise with intent;
  • Use imitation firearm

An arrest warrant for Taranjot Singh has been issued.
