Five Time Repeat Impaired Driving Offender Arrested Following a Four-Vehicle Collision

10th July 2025 – Investigators from the Major Collision Bureau have arrested and charged a man from Mississauga in relation to a four-vehicle collision, which took place in the City of Brampton.

On Saturday, July 5, 2025, at approximately 4:15 p.m., a four-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of Highway 50 and Coleraine Drive in Brampton.

Three individuals involved were transported to local hospitals. A 21-year-old male remains in unstable, critical condition and is anticipated to have long-term life-altering injuries.

Koushal Kasiram, a 58-year-old man from Mississauga, was charged with the following offences:

  • Impaired Driving Causing Bodily Harm
  • Driving with Excess Blood Alcohol
  • Prohibited Driving X3

He was held for a bail hearing and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton where he was released on a recognizance of bail, with conditions not to drive a motor vehicle.

Koushal Kasiram is a five-time repeat offender for impaired driving-related convictions. He was also on three separate lifetime driving prohibitions at the time of the collision.
