Peel Police charged one in a shooting investigation; another suspect at large

18th March 2025 – Investigators from the 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have charged one individual and issued a warrant for another in relation to a shooting investigation.

On Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2024, police responded to a physical altercation involving tow truck companies in a parking lot in the area of Bovaird Drive and Mountainash Road in Brampton. A victim was located at the scene with minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

Following a lengthy investigation, investigators identified the suspects.

On Wednesday, March 12, 2025, Sarbjit Singh, a 33-year-old man from Brampton, was charged with the following criminal offences:

  • Discharge Firearm
  • Assault with a weapon

He was held for a bail hearing and appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Jobanjit Singh, a 25-year-old man from Brampton, for the following charges:

  • Attempted Murder
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm

Jobanjit Singh is encouraged to seek legal counsel and turn himself in to the police.
