23rd January 2025 – The bone-chilling cold which has hit Ontario for the past one week could not dampen the spirits of Canadian Hindus who celebrated the first anniversary of ‘Pran-pratishtha’ (प्राण प्रतिष्ठा) of the Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
On January 18, a car rally organized by multiple GTA Hindu groups and led by Hindu Canadian Foundation was joined by hundreds of cars and a digital truck displaying magnificent images and videos related to the restoration of the Shri Ram Mandir travelled over 200 kms.
The rally began from the Hindu Sabha Mandir in Brampton and took stops at Triveni Mandir in Brampton and Vaishno Devi Temple in Oakville. The final stop of the rally was Hindu Samaj Temple in Hamilton.
The rally facilitated the spiritual connection with the historical event that took place last year. The participants were served sumptuous food, packed meals, snacks and tea during the rally.
At different stages of the rally, the Ram Bhakts chanted Hanuman Chalisa and joyful Sankirtan. The Tamil Hindu Community chanted the Vishnu Sahasranama Paath at the beginning of the rally.
