Peel Police arrests two in stolen vehicle investigation

28th November 2024 – Investigators of the Peel Police have arrested and charged two men on multiple counts in stolen vehicle investigation.

On Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at approximately 8:00 a.m.,12 Division Community Incident Response Team officers were conducting a proactive patrol in the area of Goreway Drive and Brandon Gate Drive in the city of Mississauga. During the investigation, officers located an occupied stolen Lexus NX 350.

Officers were able to act quickly and stop the vehicle from fleeing, which resulted in police cruisers being damaged and two suspects fleeing on foot. After a short foot pursuit, police arrested both suspects and laid numerous charges related to drugs, stolen property, and weapon offences.

23-year-old, Bhawanjeet Singh of no fixed address has been charged with:

  • Dangerous Operation
  • Mischief over $5,000
  • Possession of Property obtained by crime
  • Possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose

28-year-old, Gurdeep Singh of no fixed address has been charged with:

  • Dangerous Operation
  • Mischief over $5,000
  • Possession of Property obtained by crime
  • Possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Possession of a controlled substance
  • Breach of release order
