Mississauga man arrested in Fatal Fail to Remain Collision

12th February 2026 – Following an extensive investigation, officers from the Major Collision Bureau have arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal fail to remain collision.

On Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025, a pedestrian was struck by a black SUV while crossing at the crosswalk on Bristol Road West at Loonlake Avenue in Mississauga. The driver fled the scene without providing assistance. The victim, a woman in her twenties, was transported to a trauma centre, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

On Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2026, 26‑year‑old Sundeep Sekhon of Mississauga was arrested and charged with the following offences:

  • Failure to Stop After Accident Resulting in Death
  • Dangerous Operation Causing Death

Sekhon was held for a bail hearing and appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
