Peel Police arrests Brampton one in historical sexual assault investigation

24th February 2025 – Investigators of Peel Regional Police have charged and arrested a Brampton man in a historical sexual assault investigation.

Last month, police began investigating criminal allegations from a concerned parent. The suspect, who was working as a teaching assistant, allegedly had sexually assaulted a child in the school. The incident had taken place in the academic year 2017-18 at a public school in the area of Main Street and Queen Street in the City of Brampton.

35-year-old Sundeep Vilkhu has been charged with:

  • Sexual Assault
  • Sexual interference
  • Invitation to sexual touching

The accused is no longer employed at the school. Investigators believe that there could be more victims.
