Peel Police seizes narcotics worth over $25M, the largest in force’s history
28th October 2022 – Peel Regional Police has announced that it has seized illegal narcotics with a street value of over $25 million. In an investigation which took almost a year, PRP’s Specialized Enforcement Bureau (SEB) with financial and tactical support from Criminal Intelligence Service Ontario (CISO) has busted an international drug trafficking enterprise.
The police have seized:
- 182 kilograms of Methamphetamine
- 166 kilograms of Cocaine
- 38 kilograms of Ketamine
During its investigation, the Police found out that a complex drug trafficking enterprise is being run in Greater Toronto Area (GTA) but spans international borders. The investigation also revealed that commercial truck businesses were being used to transport drugs from the United States directly to the Region of Peel and other parts to GTA.
Investigators have charged the below members of the cartel –
- Khalilullah Amin, 46-year-old man from Caledon has been charged with two counts of trafficking in controlled substances.
- Jaspreet Singh, 28-year-old man from Brampton has been charged with one count of trafficking in a controlled substance, and one count of possession of property obtained by crime.
- Wray Ip, 27-year-old man from Richmond Hill has been charged with four counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
- Ravinder Boparai, 27-year-old man from Mississauga has been charged with one count of possession of property obtained by crime, and one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
- Gurdeep Gakhal, 38-year-old man from Caledon has been charged with one count of trafficking in a controlled substance.
Investigators have also identified two transfer hubs allegedly involved in the distribution of illicit drugs.
- North King Logistics, a commercial trucking company located at 50 Steeles Ave. in Milton.
- Friend Furniture, a business located at 2835 Argentia Rd. in Mississauga
PRP’s SEB liaised very closely with US Homeland Security Investigations (HIS) in Detroit and Border Enforcement Security Task Force (BEST) in Buffalo.

Their efforts have prevented significant amounts of dangerous narcotics from reaching our community.”
